The Tetilla cheese P.D.O. Is made from pasteurized me of Rubia, Frisona or Pardo-Alpina cows and is matured for about 15 days.
This cheese has a characteristic unmistakable conical shape, which is also the origin of its name Tetilla: small breast.
Bonvallis Tetilla P.D.O. Has a yellowish, semi-soft, creamy texture.
The bark is of wax and yellow, the taste of this particular cheese is mild, milky, fresh and slightly salty.
This cheese is very good as snack in between with ham, salami, fruits and bread.
The typical way to eat this cheese is all dessert with quince jelly or honey. It melts very easily and can therefore very well be used as processed cheese.
Application: To this Tetilla cheese P.D.O. Fits very well fine Scherry, and the creamy taste fits perfectly to Crianza and Reserva red wine.
